WINSTED — The Winchester Police Department and the State Police’s Crash Analysis and Reconstruction Squad are continuing with their investigation into a hit and run incident.
Resident Anthony Menard of Winsted was seriously hurt in the incident, which took place around 8 p.m. on Jan. 10 at the location of Main Street at the intersection of Union Street.
According to a press release issued by Police Chief William Fitzgerald on Tuesday, Jan. 28, two vehicles have been examined as part of the investigation.
“Possible items of evidentiary value were delivered to the Division of Scientific Services for analysis,” Fitzgerald wrote in the press release. “No arrests have been made at this time pending the forensic laboratory analysis of the submitted items. The Winchester Police Department would like to thank the public for providing information in this incident.”
