COVID-19 update Sept. 21: 70 total cases in Winsted

In data released on Monday, Sept. 21, the state reports there have been 70 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Winsted, along with one probable case. The number is the cumulative amount of confirmed cases since the pandemic started in March.

The number is an increase of two confirmed cases from last week, Sept. 14.

Meanwhile, Torrington’s confirmed case rate continues to rise, from 593 confirmed cases and 27 probable cases on Sept. 14, to 608 confirmed cases and 26 probable cases on Sept. 21.

Barkhamsted confirmed COVID-19 cases remains the same from the previous week at 31 confirmed cases and two presumed cases.

Colebrook confirmed COVID-19 cases has increased by one from Sept. 14 and, as of Sept 21, now stands at six confirmed cases.

New Hartford’s confirmed COVID-19 cases increased by two and now stands at 39 cases.

Norfolk’s confirmed cases remain the same from the previous week at 14 confirmed cases and one presumed case.

The state reports that there are now 56,024 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Connecticut.

In one week, from Sept. 14 to September 21, there have been 1,129 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases in Connecticut.

The total number of COVID-19 related deaths has increased by 10 and now stands at 4,495.

There are now 68 state residents hospitalized with COVID-19 symptoms, with one Litchfield County resident hospitalized.

The number of confirmed Litchfield County cases is at 1,750, an increase of 42 cases from last week.

The amount of probable cases is 91 cases, an increase of six probable cases from last week.
