WINSTED — A building on 10 Bridge Street, previously owned by XKL Capital LLC, whose principal is Marty Goldin, was purchased on March 31 by 153 LLC.
The building was put up for sale by Goldin for $1.53, but according to town records was sold for $2.
According to the website opencorporates.com, 153 LLC was formed on March 23.
Its listed directors are Anthony Cannavo, Jesse Pellegato, and Patrick Matthews.
At one point XKL Capital LLC owned both old mill buildings on 10 Bridge Street, including the back building originally built in 1880, and the recently sold front building in 1887.
The back building is the location of Mad River Lofts, which opened to great fanfare in August 2017.
In December 2019, XKL Capital LLC sold the back building to Birchwater Property Management LLC for $215,000 December 2019, which in turn sold it to Impetus Properties for (as listed on Vision Government’s Property Database website) $0 in March.
The front building, the former location of several businesses including Winsted Furniture, has remained vacant for quite some time.
Meanwhile, according to the town’s tax database, XKL Capital still owes the town a total of $12,935.25 in back taxes, which it has owed since 2018.
