TORRINGTON — The first-ever Litchfield Hills Creative Festival will be held downtown this Saturday, Aug. 14.
The event is organized by the Northwest Arts Council and, according to the event’s website “ The purpose of this event is to celebrate the abundance of creative energy in the Northwest Corner.”
The event will be sprawled out all over downtown Torrington with musicians, artists, vendors, and representatives of various arts organizations.
Organizations who will be part of the event are Art Life Culture/Rock Yer Block, Five Points Center for the Visual Arts, KidsPlay Children’s Museum, Main Street Torrington, Matica Circus, Mental Health CT, Nutmeg Ballet Conservatory, Our Culture is Beautiful, Outlet for the Arts, Red Room Sound Studio, Torrington Downtown Partners, Torrington Parks & Rec. dept., Torrington Library, the Warner Theatre, and Water St. Potters.
Locations for the event include the Five Points Gallery and Annex, the Kidsplay Children’s Museum, Matica Circus, Nutmeg Ballet Conservatory, and the Torrington Library.
The main stage at Coe Park will include performances by Donovan Darnell, The Stinky Cheese Man, The Right Offs, and Corey Glover of Living Colour and Friends.
The event starts at 10 a.m. and goes throughout the day.
