GOSHEN — The Northwest Arts Council held its first in-person Arts Night Out event in nearly two years on Thursday, Sept. 30.
The mission of the nonprofit organization, as listed on its Facebook page, is to “engage the public in building a strong and connected arts and culture community that is integral to the economic development and the collective well-being of our region.”
The organization serves 25 towns in the Northwest Corner.
The event was held at Sunset Meadow in Goshen and included artists from around the region socializing and networking with each other.
“It’s important to have an event like this for artists to make connections and find ways to collaborate on future projects,” organization Executive Director Steph Burr said. “The artists in this region are very awesome and we’re glad to have them here. I am going to be talking to all of them tonight about artist grants that are coming to the region. We want to help them receive grants for artists to do what they do best: create.”
