‘Noble Savage’ Arrested for Threatening Bristol Health CEO, Police Say

Richard Stark was arrested Tuesday around 4:48 p.m. by Bristol police following concerns raised by hospital staff over his social media activity targeting Bristol Health CEO Kurt A. Barwis.

According to police, employees at Bristol Hospital reported Stark’s online posts, which they found threatening. Authorities did not immediately disclose the content or specific nature of the posts. Requests for further clarification from the police via email and phone calls went unanswered.

Stark’s public social media accounts feature a mix of origami photos, government complaint documents, and occasional political commentary. On Facebook, he describes himself as a “left-handed” “noble savage.”

He now faces charges of second-degree threatening and second-degree breach of peace. Police said Stark is being held on a $50,000 bond.
