Hartford police have made an arrest in connection with a broad daylight shooting on Friday that left a 15-year-old boy injured.
The shooting occurred around 2:15 p.m. near the intersection of Martin and Nelson Streets. Officers arrived quickly and found the teen suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital, where he remains in stable condition.
Authorities have since arrested a juvenile male in connection with the shooting. He faces multiple charges, including first-degree assault, carrying a pistol without a permit, motor vehicle theft, and third-degree larceny.
Police have not released a motive for the shooting. The department’s Major Crimes and Crime Scene Divisions continue to investigate.
