Teen Charged in Middletown Stabbing of 15-Year-Old

A 16-year-old boy has been charged after allegedly stabbing a 15-year-old in the abdomen Thursday night in Middletown.

Police found the injured teen around 8:44 p.m. near High Street and Grant Street. He was taken to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers located the suspect shortly after and determined there was enough evidence to arrest him. He now faces charges of second-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace.

According to police, the incident was isolated and there’s no ongoing threat to the public.
