Two Waterbury Men Arrested in Major Drug Bust

WATERBURY, Conn. (WFSB) — A multi-agency operation led to the arrest of two Waterbury men on multiple drug charges following the execution of search warrants across Waterbury and Wolcott on June 25.

The coordinated effort involved the Waterbury Police Department’s Vice and Intelligence Unit, Crime Prevention Unit, Auto Theft Task Force, Gang Task Force, Community Relations Division, Detective Bureau, and the Connecticut State Police Violent Crimes Task Force.

Substantial Drug Seizure

During the investigation, officers seized:

  • 30 grams of fentanyl

  • 16.3 grams of cocaine

  • 21.1 grams of crack cocaine

  • Approximately 1,200 bags of heroin

  • $1,000 in cash

Arrested Individuals and Charges

Two suspects were taken into custody:

  • Lvaughn Freeman, 32, was charged with:

    • Illegal operation of a drug factory

    • Possession of narcotics with intent to sell

    • Possession of 1 ounce or more of heroin/fentanyl

    • Possession of 1/2 ounce or more of cocaine in freebase form

  • William Kee, 35, was charged with:

    • Tampering with evidence

    • Illegal operation of a drug factory

    • Possession of narcotics with intent to sell

    • Possession of 1 ounce or more of heroin/fentanyl

    • Possession of 1/2 ounce or more of cocaine in freebase form

Authorities say the operation is part of an ongoing effort to combat violent crime and drug activity in the region.
